West Virginians invited to share photos for military and first responder Honor Trees

Governor Patrick Morrisey and First Lady Denise Morrisey are asking West Virginians to submit photos of loved ones who serve or served in the military or as first responders for the annual Honor Trees display.

According to a release from the governorโ€™s office, those who wish for their photos to be part of the Honor Trees must submit photocopies of their photos by Dec. 1. Original photos should not be sent, as submitted photos will not be returned.

Those mailing their submissions should send their photos to the West Virginia Governorโ€™s Mansion.

โ€œWest Virginians have always understood the value of service,โ€ Gov. Morrisey said. โ€œThese photos provide us with the opportunity to honor the real heroes among us; our neighbors, our sons and daughters, our parents and friends. Each provides the courage and strength to lift our state every single day.โ€
