VIDEO: Fire breaks out at Preston County wedding venue

A large fire broke out at a Preston County wedding venue on the morning of New Year’s Day. According to the Preston County 911 Center, at around 7:48 a.m., crews were alerted to a structure fire at the M&M Wedding Venue located on Yorks Run Road in Newburg. Officials told 12 News that nobody was injured in the fire.

Video of the fire sent in by a 12 News viewer shows large flames shooting out of the top of the building before spreading quickly to other parts of it, melting the fresh snow that was on the roof. Officials said that the Newburg Volunteer Fire Department was in charge of the scene.

12 News has reached out to both the department and the venue, but did not receive an immediate reply from either.

The Newburg Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by the Grafton Fire Department, the Fellowsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department, the Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department.
