PHOTOS: Fire crews responded to downtown Charleston Monday morning where smoke was spotted rising from a structure at Haddad Riverfront Park.
A fire was reported about 8:15 a.m. along Kanawha Boulevard East, according to a Metro 911 alert.
First responders found heavy, black smoke rising from a concession stand at the park.
Fire crews on scene told Eyewitness News the fire was quickly contained. While no structural damage was apparent, the concession stand did suffer some smoke and water damage.
The cause of the blaze was unclear. Emergency personnel noted no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
