2 dogs rescued from Terra Alta kitchen fire

Two dogs were rescued from a fire in Terra Alta on Saturday, which required support from other nearby fire departments.

According to a Facebook post from the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, the fire occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday on Clement Street in Terra Alta.

The Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to provide mutual aid where they provided water and โ€œassisted Terra Alta firefighters with checking for extensions and ventilation.โ€

During this fire two dogs were also rescued from the scene.

In another Facebook post, the Terra Alta Volunteer Fire Department said that it was a โ€œsmall kitchen fire that had been contained prior to arrival.โ€

The Oakland Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
