Pierce County deputy involved in T-bone collision while responding to emergency call

PHOTOS: A Pierce County deputy was involved in a T-bone collision on Saturday evening while responding to an emergency call. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened around 6:18 p.m. as the deputy was on the way to a call about a person with a weapon. As the deputy was driving westbound on 128th St. in Puyallup, a vehicle pulled out from a stop sign at 62nd Ave. E, resulting in the deputy hitting the driver’s side of the other car. The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle, and was stable and conscious while being taken to the hospital. The PCSO said the deputy was uninjured. The traffic unit is investigating the incident.
