Kennewick firefighter honored for lifesaving actions

PHOTOS: Kennewick firefighter and paramedic, Garrett Trapper, has been recognized with a Civilian Service Award from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office for his heroic actions. Trapper was off-duty when he encountered a missing 77-year-old woman with dementia. She was found dehydrated and injured. He immediately called for help and carried her up a hill to ensure she received the medical care she needed. The Kennewick Fire Department praised Trapper, describing him as “the very best of their community” for his selfless actions.
