Kennewick Fire Department (KFD) gained control of four fires that broke out around Kennewick Tuesday night. Kennewick Police Department (KPD) posted about each fire and added updates as the night went on. The first fire was reported around 11:30 p.m. KPD wrote that KFD was working on a natural cover fire near West 42nd Avenue and South Union Street. That fire is now under control.
Two hours later, KFD responded to two fires that had simultaneously broken out. One was near West 21st Street and South Columbia Center Boulevard and the other was near West Canal Drive and North Quincy Street. KPD reported that both fires are now under control. About two hours later, around 2:45 a.m., KFD responded to a fire at West Clearwater Avenue and north Columbia Center Boulevard. At 7:06 a.m. KPD reported that the fire was under control. โWe want to remind the public to please be mindful of fire safety in the coming week,โ wrote KPD in their post about the fourth fire of the night.
