VIDEO: Six brush fires from early Tuesday morning in Spokane Valley are being investigated for arson. The fires, which started around 1 a.m. were contained by firefighters after about two hours without requiring evacuations. Firefighters said that no one was hurt and no buildings were damaged. Deputies temporarily blocked traffic at Mirabeau Parkway directly in front of the park around 1 a.m., but reopened traffic later Tuesday morning. Assistant Fire Marshal Abraham Nisbet said that the fires were human caused because there is no other source of ignition in the area. He also said that their proximity trail links them together. As of Tuesday morning an investigation was still underway.
