A driver was not hurt after they crashed into a fire station in Vancouver late Tuesday night. The crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. at Vancouver Fire Station 6. Officials say crews were out responding to a different emergency when the crash happened.
Officials say the driver veered off the roadway and crashed into the apparatus bay side of the fire station. The pickup truck became entangled in a nearby electrified fence. Due to the potential electrical hazard, officials say firefighters maintained a safe space and talked with the driver before it was determined that the fence was de-energized. The driver and their dog were not hurt in the crash.
