Crews brave Snoqualmie River flooding to rescue three people and dog from home

VIDEO: Amid significant flooding, crews managed to rescue three people and a dog who were trapped in their home near the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River.

Eastside Fire and Rescue says the crews responded to the area around 10 a.m. Wednesday. Officials said the three adults had limited mobility. No further updates on the people rescued were given by Eastside Fire and Rescue.

Many roads have been closed in the Snoqualmie area since Tuesday as flood levels continue to rise. The Snoqualmie River is expected to crest at near 60 feet, which is causing significant flooding in Carnation, Fall City and the city of Snoqualmie itself.

A majority of area rivers have reached Moderate or Major flood stage, and some rivers are expected to break flow records this week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). An atmospheric river has parked over western Washington and northern Oregon, bringing an estimated six inches of rainfall in the lowlands through the end of this week.
