VIDEO: The Burdoin Fire has scorched more than 10,000 acres near Bingen with no containment. The fire has destroyed 14 buildings and threatens over 200 more as it burns north and northeast through steep terrain. Fire crews are utilizing several aircraft to drop water from the Columbia River to aid in firefighting efforts. One firefighter was injured and has been hospitalized.The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office expanded level three “go now” evacuations on the northwest corner of the fire. These evacuations remain in place and are highlighted in red on the provided map. Other evacuation notices have not changed since Saturday. Two emergency shelters have been established, one in White Salmon, Washington and another in The Dalles, Oregon.Highway 14 remains closed for 10 miles east of Bingen. Additional closures include Highway 142 from Highway 14 north to milepost five, and Centerville Highway from Highway 14 to Centerville.
