A fire broke out on an upper floor of a Chesterfield County factory on Bermuda Hundred Road on Sunday morning.
At 8:48 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, crews with Chesterfield Fire EMS were called to a structure fire in an upper floor of the AdvanSix manufacturing facility, located at 4101 Bermuda Hundred Road.
Firefighters and HAZMAT crews were working to get the fire under control.
As of 10:02 a.m., the incident was contained to the site and there was no threat to the public, workers or firefighters on scene, according to a Chesterfield Fire spokesperson.
โThere is just some smoke coming from the windows,โ the spokesperson added as of 10:02 a.m. โThereโs no noticeable damage from the outside other than that at this point.โ
The spokesperson told 8News there were people inside the facility at the time of the fire, but itโs unclear how many as of the time of reporting.
