A 75-year-old woman is dead following a fire that occurred at a Henrico County home early Monday morning.
Just before 4 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, the Henrico County Division of Fire responded to a 911 call reporting a house fire on Leslie Lane in the Woodman Terrace subdivision in Henrico County.
When firefighters arrived, they pulled two victims from the home โ an unidentified man and a woman. Both were taken by the Henrico County Division of Fire to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Shortly afterward, officials said the woman died due to her injuries in the hospital. Officials identified her as 75-year-old Michele Andrews, of the Glen Allen area of Henrico County.
The man who was pulled from the home reportedly remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
A third person, who officials said was a neighbor who was assisting at the scene, was taken to a local hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
