Firefighters rescue trapped driver after rollover crash

The Hinesburg Fire Department responded at 12:24 a.m. Sunday to a reported single-vehicle rollover on Lincoln Hill Road. Upon arrival, Captain Waite confirmed the lone driver was still trapped inside. A working incident was declared, prompting mutual-aid support from departments in Huntington and Starksboro.

When Hinesburg Engine 1 arrived, crews stabilized the vehicle using specialized rescue struts before extricating the driver. Officials say the driver sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospital transport.

The department responded with seven personnel operating one engine, one rescue truck, and a command car.

While the fire department does not investigate crash causes, the Department emphasizes their mission to care for those involved and shared several safety reminders; advising drivers to wear their seatbelts, avoid distractions, and adjust their speed during harsh winte road condtions.
