A pickup truck hauling a camper trailer caught fire on I-15 in Kaysville Saturday afternoon, prompting the closure of all southbound lanes. Kaysville Fire Department and Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene near milepost 327, just before Burton Lane, around 12:30 p.m. on June 7. Officials arrived to find both the pickup truck and trailer fully engulfed in flames. First responders determined the fire was sparked after multiple small propane tanks on board the trailer exploded. As a precaution, all southbound lanes of I-15 were temporarily closed. All occupants of the truck and trailer were able to exit safely, authorities said. By 1:05 p.m., multiple lanes had reopened and traffic was slowly moving through the area.
