PHOTOS: A fire that ignited at the shooting range west of Utah Lake spread over 37 acres before it was contained. Utah Fire Info said the fire, named the Range Fire after its starting location, burned 37.5 acres before it was 100% contained Sunday evening. It was first discovered shortly after 4 p.m. Two helicopters joined crews from multiple agencies to fight the flames. Now that it is contained, one fire engine will stay at the scene to monitor the fire overnight. This fire is one of six that started Sunday and eight that are active in the state of Utah, according to Utah Fire Info. Several of the fires are along the Wasatch Front, including one that burns in the same area west of the lake and another that is now under control in Draper.
