A new fire, called the Diamond Canyon Fire, has started in Grand County, and has reached 20 acres, so far, according to the latest information published by the Utah Bureau of Land Management. Crews say they responded to a new fire start in the Book Cliffs area, near Diamond Canyon in Grand County. According to officials, the fire started due to a lightning strike. These teams have dropped fire retardant, which have helped slow the fireโs spread. At this time, Smokejumpers are in command of the fire.
