Firefighters quickly contained two grass fires that broke out early this morning near the I-80 and I-215 interchange, briefly impacting traffic. According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the fires ignited shortly before 5 a.m. near eastbound I-80 at milepost 117 by the I-215 west belt. Crews responded swiftly, bringing both fires under control within a short time. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fires remains under investigation.
