Apartment fire in West Jordan ends in total loss for one unit

Crews from multiple agencies responded to an apartment fire in West Jordan, and one apartment appears to be a total loss. The fire is located at roughly 8500 S 2300 W in West Jordan, near Mountain View Golf Course. According to Battalion Chief Mike Powell with West Jordan Fire Department, the fire happened at an apartment complex, and when crews arrived, the fire was โ€œfully involved.โ€ He said that one apartment appears to be a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and an investigator is on scene. No injuries were reported, and residents were safely evacuated. Crews also prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent apartments and prevented any injuries. West Jordan Fire Department focused on extinguishing the fire while other agencies helped secure the water supply and cleared the structure of any people. Powell said that they are in contact with the family who lived in the apartment, but he was able to provide any other details.
