Waco Fire Department and Waco Police Department host charity basketball game

VIDEO: There was a big game Saturday night at University High School with a lot on the line for both teams. The Waco Fire Department took on the Waco Police Department in a game of basketball, raising money for charity. It’s called the Guns and Hoses Charity Basketball Game and every year both departments fundraise to see who can raise the most money for Special Olympics Texas athletes. Otherwise known as SOTX, they are a privately funded non-profit that helps those with intellectual disabilities through sports, providing opportunities for over 44,000 people across the state. One of those people is Sebastian Santos, who has autism and ADHD. He said he loves getting to be a part of this.
