VIDEOS: 3 homes damaged after fire in Gun Barrel City

PHOTOS: An early morning fire has damaged three houses in Gun Barrel City; however, no one was injured. According to the Gun Barrel City Fire Department, at around 4:11 a.m. on Thursday, the fire and police departments responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Donna Drive. By the time they arrived, the home had been fully involved with a vehicle on fire in the driveway.

Then, a second home adjacent was burning, and a third home was threatened. Additional fire departments were called to assist, and they were able to bring the fire under control after about an hour and took another two hours to fully extinguish. The Gun Barrel Fire Department said the first house was deemed a total loss; however, there were no occupants at the time of the fire. In the second home, the resident and pets were uninjured and the home sustained significant fire, water and smoke damage. The third house sustained exterior damage. The American Red Cross responded to the scene and has assisted those affected. The department also reported that there were no injuries to any firefighters.
