Halvorson, who is undergoing painful physical therapy, faces daily treatments in what his family calls “The Tank,” where his burns and wounds are cleaned. His stepfather, Bobby, a 28-year veteran of the Fort Worth Fire Department, provides support during these difficult times.
The family is also dealing with the emotional strain of being separated from Halvorson’s newborn son, who remains in the NICU.
