VIDEO: A family in Midlothian is on edge after security cameras recorded someone setting fire to their home. It happened just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday in the 900 block of McAlpin Road.
โItโs traumatic,โ said Malia Rivera, a college student who happened to be awake at the time and noticed a glow outside her window. She shares the home with her family, including her sisters and their two young children. โIf it wouldโve got in the house, Iโm like, what wouldโve happened because I have a daughter, and her birthday is next week. She probably wouldnโt have gotten to that birthday if the fire wouldโve got in the house,โ Tiza Rivera said, tearfully. Cameras outside the home started rolling when what appears on video to be a male in a hoodie pours gas on their walls, windows, and garage.
