Renovations to come for Sherman’s Pecan Grover Fire Station #3

VIDEO: Sherman city leaders and first responders gathered to break ground on Fire Station 3’s renovation project.

Over the course of a year, Sherman Fire Station Three near FM-1417 and U.S. Highway 82 will see renovations for more efficient and safer living corridors for its paramedics and firefighters, thanks to former and current city leaders. Sherman Fire Chief & Paramedic Billy Bob Hartsfield says everyone is attentive to the needs of the city.

“They all recognize that public safety is a part of making Sherman home,” said Hartsfield.

The Pecan Grove station opened in 2001, being the newest station built in 20 years at the time. Now, 25 years later, it’s time for a remodel and its spearheaded by former Sherman Mayo David Plyler’s “Plyler Construction.”

Hartfield says the facelift includes all-gender restrooms, a decontamination area to rid of toxins, and beautified living conditions.
