VIDEOS: The Killeen Fire Department continues to mourn the loss of one of their own, Captain Marvin Taylor III. Taylor was killed in a crash on Sunday, May 11, when he was rear-ended by a speeding vehicle, the City stated. According to the City, Taylor left an Austin hospital at 1:05 a.m. after the birth of his fifth child, and was going to pick up his other children to bring them back to the hospital to meet their new sibling when his vehicle was hit from behind. Killeen Fire Chief James Kubinski released a video statement thanking the community for their support, love and prayers during the difficult time, and asking for patience and continued support as Taylor’s family and the Killeen Fire Department process and grieve the tragedy. A procession for Taylor was held on Monday, May 12, according to the Killeen Fire Department.
