Mark Mueller, deputy fire marshal at the Port Arthur Fire Department, says his dual certification as both a licensed peace officer and firefighter has allowed him to be better prepared for emergency situations. โI understand more of all the different aspects of the response to something,โ Mueller said. In the wake of the Idaho tragedy, Interim Deputy Chief Antonio Mitchell wants Port Arthur residents to know their firefighters are ready to protect and serve in more ways than one.
