A crew with the Pflugerville Fire Department has been working for a week supporting Texas’ wildfire preparedness efforts. The Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) has been conducting wildfire preparedness efforts throughout the state, this coming as wildfire risks have increased due to strong winds and low humidity, particularly in central Texas.
The Pflugerville Fire Department says their TIFMAS-deployed crew has been mobilized for seven days, working to support the state’s efforts to stay prepared in the case of a fire.
“We are proud of their dedication and readiness to assist wherever they are needed, and we appreciate their commitment to helping keep Texas prepared,” the fire department says.
