VIDEO: Orange County ESD crews had their hands full with a fast-moving brush fire Monday afternoon off Highway 62 near Tulane Road. The fire started in an empty field a little after 3 p.m. according to Orange County ESD #4 Chief Kelly Moore. More says that the fire was extremely fast moving due to high wind conditions and low humidity. ESD #4 was already working to put out a large equipment fire from a tractor that was cutting grass when the call came in, but had to divert resources due to how quickly the brush fire was moving. The fire burned for nearly three hours before crews were finally able to extinguish it, burning 10 to 12 acres in total. Luckily no structures were damaged during the fire and no injuries were reported.
