PHOTOS: AFD units reported to the scene of a structure fire at an abandoned building in Southwest Austin Sunday afternoon. The fire department said that AFD responded to a reported house fire around 2:20 p.m. in the 6300 block of West US 290.
Officials said that 50 percent of the structure was involved in the fire, and that there was a partial collapse of the building. The fire was reported to be out at 3:40 p.m., and the cause is under investigation. One firefighter was treated by Austin-Travis County EMS for a heat related injury.
