PHOTOS: No one was injured in a Denton County house fire that followed a report of an explosion on Halloween, officials say. Crews were called to the fire in the 9000 block of Breeze Way in unincorporated Denton County shortly after 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31, officials say.
A worker on the scene had reported an explosion, fire officials said. Two homeowners, their two dogs and the worker were safely evacuated from the home before first responders arrived, according to Denton County Emergency Services Districts 1 and 2.
Denton County Emergency Services Districts 1 and 2 shared in a post on social media that fire crews found heavy smoke and flames through the roof when they arrived. The Lake Cities Fire Department, Denton County Office of Emergency Management, Southlake Department of Public Safety, Fort Worth Fire Department, and Roanoke Fire Department assisted in the response to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Denton County Fire Marshal’s Office.
