The Kempner Volunteer Fire Department has tapped its new fire chief. The Kempner VFD Board of Directors announced Justin Martin as the fire chief on Wednesday. Chief Martin has prior experience within Kempner VFD, including being deputy chief prior to taking on the role of chief. Former Kempner VFD fire chief Alan Mainville is stepping into a position on the Board of Directors.
