VIDEOS: Houston Fire Department crews put out a large fire at an apartment complex in West Houston Wednesday morning. The fire was at the Magnolia Terrace apartment complex on Synott Road near Ashford Point Drive, which is just north of the Westpark Tollway. The call originally came in as a 2-alarm fire around 5:30 a.m. but was later upgraded to a 3-alarm fire. HFD Assistant Chief James Campbell said the fire was contained to one building, but some damage did spread to two other buildings in the complex. Around 24 units were impacted by the fire. No injuries were reported in the fire. The early investigation of the fire revealed it was caused by accident from a bar-be-que pit on the back porch of an apartment, according to a Houston Fire spokesperson.
