VIDEO: At least a dozen Austin Energy customers were without power on Tuesday morning after a fire damaged power lines in east Austin. Responders arrived at around 3:20 a.m. to a fire in a detached garage on the 3000 block of East 16th Street, near Airport Boulevard. The Austin Fire Department (AFD) said one person was living inside the garage, but they were able to escape unharmed. No other injuries have been reported. Crews said they extinguished the fire just before 4:30 a.m., but the cause is still unknown. Austin Energy workers were also on scene Tuesday.
