VIDEO: A fire that broke out Monday morning at a south end church building was intentional the fire chief says. The fire broke out Monday morning at the South Park Baptist Church building at 795 Woodrow St in Beaumont’s south end.
When firefighters arrived, they found multiple fires burning inside the sanctuary of the church, according to Beaumont Fire Chief Earl White. Initial investigation showed that the fires, which were controlled quickly, were intentionally set, White told 12News. A City of Beaumont fire station is next door to the church.
