VIDEO: A tragic ending to a house fire in Corpus Christi’s southside, 3NEWS is learning an elderly woman is dead. Crews quickly provided medical attention to the woman and transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead from fire injuries. Corpus Christi fire crews arrived to the home at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a fire on Hebert Lane near Saratoga. Fire Chief Brandon Wade said crews were told somebody was possibly in the home. That’s when the crew went into offensive mode making entry to start the crucial search. 3NEWS is told the fire was fast, leading conditions inside the home to zero visibility. Command instructed crews to get out of the home to re-set at that time.
