Crews battle house fire in east Lubbock

VIDEO: Crews battled a structure fire in east Lubbock Tuesday morning that damaged a mobile home and a church, according to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. Just after 10 a.m., sheriffs deputies, along with Lubbock Fire Rescue, responded to a single-story house on fire near East 2nd and Peach Ave. LFR started to combat the flames until other area fire departments arrived. The Idalou Fire Department, New Deal Fire Department, Buffalo Springs Fire and Roosevelt Fire Departments all responded to assist. The sheriff’s office says a mobile home on the west side of the property and a church on the east side of the property sustained damage from the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Lubbock County Emergency Management was contacted to aid property owners with any assistant services needed.
