VIDEO: Corpus Christi Fire Department is making efforts to replace their aging fire stations. The new Fire Station 3 on Morgan Avenue is nearly ready to be moved into from the previous decades-old location. First responders there will not be moving far. The new station’s location is just across the street. During construction, service to the community remained the same as they responded to calls from the current Fire Station 3. Its updated look comes with new features that will modernize the space first responders call home for their shift. “It is really a change for the Corpus Christi Fire Department,” CCFD Chief Brandon Wade said. “Many of our stations are over 60 years old, to include old Fire Station No. 3, which is over 70 years old.”
