VIDEO: A Collinsville house fire alarmed neighbors as it went up in flames early Saturday morning. According to Collinsville Fire Chief Damon Stewart, a rural-area home on Terri Drive was 50% engulfed upon their arrival, around 6 a.m. Chief Stewart says this fire was more difficult to extinguish because there were no fire hydrants near the home. Multiple water tank trucks and assisting agencies, including Whitesboro, Gunter, and Tioga Fire Departments, helped extinguish the fire shortly before 9 a.m. A few personal belongings were found inside but the home was unoccupied. After nearly three hours of firefighting, 70 percent of the home burned down. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
