3 hospitalized after driver crashes into ambulance in west Houston

An ambulance on the way to the hospital needed its own ambulance called after police said a driver hit them Monday morning in west Houston. Details as to how everything unfolded are unclear, but HPD says it happened on the West Sam Houston Parkway Feeder and Westpark Drive. An ambulance was carrying a stroke victim when investigators said they were hit by a Honda at the intersection. The Honda driver was not injured, but police confirmed the stroke victim and the ambulance driver, and an EMS worker in the back of the vehicle, needed to be taken to a hospital. No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation continues.
