VIDEO/PHOTOS: An 18-wheeler caught fire after it crashed with a car along Loop 410 on the East Side. The incident was reported just before 7:10 a.m. Monday on the northbound access road past the Interstate 10 interchange. The San Antonio Fire Department states the crash involved an 18-wheeler and a car. One person was taken to the hospital with an unspecified minor injury, according to SAFD. Michael Johnson, who works in the area and provided KSAT footage of the fire, said he heard two explosions. He went outside to find the big rig on fire. Johnson said he often sees big rigs traveling fast in the area as they enter Loop 410. Another employee, Tony, says this is far from the first time he’s seen trouble on the road.
