Nashville Fire Department moving headquarters amid construction

VIDEO: The headquarters for the Nashville Fire Department is moving this week amid renovations. NFD announced Sunday that it will use a temporary facility located at 63 Hermitage Avenue, which is the Bridgestone Building of the former Global Mall, “to allow for the construction of the new NFD Station 2 and NFD Headquarters.”

“This temporary relocation ensures that the Nashville Fire Department can continue serving the community while creating the necessary space for the construction of a modern headquarters and fire station,” said a press release from the department. All in-person deliveries and other business will be made to that location through Monday, October 6, the department said in a Sunday press release.

“During this move, community members and partner organizations may experience delays in responses to in-person inquiries,” the press release said. “The NFD encourages those with specific business needs to reach out directly to the personnel they work with.”
