VIDEO/PHOTOS: A 120-year-old home in Midtown Memphis is now heavily damaged after it erupted in flames Wednesday night. The Memphis Fire Department has since extinguished the flames at 133 North Bellevue Boulevard, but crews were still hosing some remaining hot spots as of 10 p.m.
At its peak shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday, the inferno could be seen billowing above the treeline from Action News 5’s Hi-5 camera situated at 1960 Union Avenue.
An MFD spokesperson tells Action News 5 that no residents were inside the house when it caught fire, and no injuries have been reported.
The home was built in 1905, according to property records. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
