VIDEO/PHOTOS: A family of four โ including children โ was brought to the hospital following a house fire in Cheatham County Sunday afternoon. Edwin Hogan, the director of the Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency, told News 2 that multiple departments were called to the incident along Neptune Road just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14. The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department was reportedly the first on scene, but help quickly arrived from Cheatham County EMA, Cheatham County EMS, and the Cheatham County Sheriffโs Office.
According to PVVFD Capt. Wayne Bennett, two adults and two children in the home were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but theyโre alright. However, Hogan said it was one woman and three children.
PVVFD Chief PJ Duncan said the home was destroyed in the blaze, leaving it a total loss. The American Red Cross is reportedly helping the family
