Henry County crews rescue injured hunter who fell from tree stand

First responders rescued a hunter who fell from a tree stand Wednesday afternoon, officials said. According to the Henry County Volunteer Fire Department, several units were sent to the scene at approximately 4 p.m. after receiving reports that a person fell while hunting.

Dispatch reportedly told first responders that the hunter was in a wooded area, which was 10 minutes away from any local roadway.

The HCVFD, as well as Carroll County EMS, worked quickly to reach the hunter. Officials said the hunter was taken to an ambulance via ATV and was later transported to the McKenzie Medical Helipad.

โ€œWe ask yโ€™all to keep this individual in your thoughts and prayers for a fast recovery,โ€ the HCVFD wrote in a social media post about the incident.

The extent of the hunterโ€™s injuries was not made available. No additional details were immediately released about this incident.
