The Gallatin Fire Department has announced the promotion of Charlie Johnson to Battalion Chief. Johnson has served the city for more than 20 years, working his way through the ranks as firefighter, engineer, lieutenant, and captain before stepping into his new leadership role.
In addition to his service with Gallatin, Johnson is the fire chief of the Southeast Community Volunteer Fire Department and a staging area manager with the Tennessee Incident Management Team. Department leaders thanked Johnson for his dedication and commitment to the community and extended best wishes as he takes on his new responsibilities.
