Chattanooga Residents Evacuated Safely During Fire At Office

PHOTOS: There were no injuries in a fire at Orange Grove Friday afternoon. Chattanooga Fire Department Blue Shift companies were dispatched at 12:44 p.m. to 2313 Blackford Street after 911 received multiple reports of smoke coming from the building. Smoke and flames were visible from the roof on the CFD’s arrival.

All Orange Grove residents had been safely evacuated. Chattanooga firefighters had the fire out quickly and the cause is under investigation. Engine 4, Ladder 5, Engine 5, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Engine 15, Battalion 1, CFD Investigations and CFD command staff were on the scene, along with CPD, EPB and HCEMS. Orange Grove officials said, “The building where the fire occurred contains offices and is not a residence.
