VIDEO/PHOTOS: Crews were called to a house fire in Murfreesboro early Tuesday morning. The fire began around 5:45 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of Burton Street. A resident was at work when she saw smoke on the homeโs surveillance camera. She called the fire department to report a man was inside the home, according to Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue. Firefighters found the man in a bedroom with a lot of smoke. He was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment but his condition is unknown. Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue asked motorists to avoid the area while crews work to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No additional information was immediately released.
