Family pets and home lost in Brown County fire

Crews responded to a fire in Brown County on Tuesday night. Brown County Emergency Manager Scott Meints told Dakota News Now the fire was north of Aberdeen near Hwy 281 between 126th and 127th Street. According to Brown County Emergency Management, the call came in around 8:30 p.m. By the time responders arrived, the house was already fully engulfed and a total loss.

No injuries were reported. Multiple family dogs were lost in the fire. According to a GoFundMe created for the homeowner, this included three newborn puppies. Meints said crews were on the scene until Wednesday morning.
