PHOTOS: Florence firefighters were recognized for their lifesaving efforts at this week’s city council meeting. Bullard Personal Protective Equipment recognized several Florence firefighters for their efforts to save the life of a four-year-old child in a fire in January. Florence Fire Department Captain Jacob Shuler received a special honor for his role in saving the child’s life. Officials say Florence Fire members of engine 111 and ladder 114 also played key roles in the successful rescue effort.
