The Gantt Fire Department has released service details for one of their firefighters killed in a Greenville County motorcycle crash on Sunday.
27-year-old Joshua Robert Gardo was described as a dedicated member of the Gantt Fire Department and a beloved community member. He was a proud graduate of Easley High School, the College of Charleston and the South Carolina Fire Academy.
The agency said the firefighter was known for his love of motorcycles, golfing, snowboarding and spending time with his friends & dog, Chloe.
Guests may visit on Friday, November 21, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church, located at 201 Rock Springs Road in Easley. A service celebrating his life will follow at 3 p.m., with burial at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Fire departments wishing to place an apparatus in the procession are asked to contact Chief Norris at (864) 901-8469, with apparatus in place by 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church or a charity of the guestsโ choice.
